At gig buddies we offer a check in with our volunteers after 3 months to see how things are going with their new gig buddy.
We recently caught up with new volunteer Angee to find out how things were going with her Gig Buddy Daniel. It sounds like they have wasted no time at all in getting out there, staying up late and definitely having a lot of fun!
She says ‘I feel I have been very lucky being placed with Daniel, he is such a lovely guy, so polite and grateful as well as interesting and fun to go out with’.
Angee singled out The Hawth in Crawley for special praise; ‘They are amazing and helped me try different seats so we can sit somewhere Daniel can jump up and dance if he wants to.’
It seems clear that a strong bond has already developed, with Daniel telling Angee that going out to events with her made him feel better and ‘put a big smile on his face!’
With an 80s club night and an ABBA tribute show under their belts – not to mention getting soaked at the Burgess Hill Firework Procession! – It sounds like they haven’t looked back since being matched in June, so much so they’ve already booked for this years Panto! Oh yes they have!
