Gig Buddies Project Assistant – maternity cover

Salary – £11,277 22 ½ hours pro rata (based on £18,795)

Contract length – 12 months

Are you a positive outgoing person who loves working with people with learning disabilities?

We are looking for a project assistant to cover maternity leave.

You will be responsible for:

  • supporting the delivery of the Gig Buddies project in Brighton and Hove
  • supporting the delivery of volunteer training sessions
  • promoting the project to potential new participants and volunteers

When not in lockdown the role will be based at our office in Portslade and work days will tend to be Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays with some flexible working required.

Communications co-ordinator – temporary for 6 months (with view to extend)

Salary – £12,700 22 ½ hours pro rata (based on £21,166)

Contract length – 6 months (with view to extend subject to funding)

Can you help us tell our story and join our fight for the right for people with learning disabilities to party?

We’re looking for a creative, opportunistic and industrious person to be our communications coordinator.

As the work of our charity grows we need someone who can take on the responsibility of communicating our message so we can have the right impact, recruit more volunteers and change the world that we work in.

You will be responsible for:

  • supporting colleagues to tell stories of our work publicly
  • running our various social media channels
  • creating videos and shareable content
  • leading on awareness campaigns

When not in lockdown the role will be based at our office in Portslade, and some home working would be fine too. Working days can be flexible and there will be a need to work some evenings and occasional weekends. ‘Sociable hours’ as we call them!
